18-Year-Old Pakistani Citizen Arrested Near Line of Control in J&K

An 18-year-old Pakistani citizen has been arrested by Indian security forces near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. The individual, identified as Mohd Sadiq, was attempting to cross into Indian territory when he was apprehended by alert troops.

According to security officials, Sadiq was found near the Noorkote area, a region that has witnessed increased military activity in recent months. No incriminating materials were found on him at the time of his arrest. He is currently being questioned to determine his intentions and any potential links to militant groups operating in the region.

The arrest comes amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals. India has accused Pakistan-based militants of carrying out the attack, leading to a series of retaliatory measures from both sides.

The situation along the LoC remains volatile, with both countries on high alert. The international community has called for restraint and dialogue to prevent further escalation and to ensure peace and stability in the region.
