Civilian Toll Rises as Pakistan Army Targets Border Villages Along LoC

Indiscriminate shelling by Pakistan forces across the Line of Control (LoC) has resulted in civilian deaths and injuries in the Indian-administered region of Jammu and Kashmir. The shelling targeted several villages, causing widespread damage and panic among residents.

Local officials reported that the shelling led to the deaths of at least seven civilians, with 38 others sustaining injuries. The injured were transported to nearby medical facilities, where they are receiving treatment for their wounds.

The Indian government has condemned the attack, describing it as an unprovoked act of aggression. In response, Indian forces have reportedly retaliated with targeted strikes against Pakistani positions along the LoC.

The situation remains tense, with both sides on high alert. International observers have called for an immediate de-escalation of hostilities to prevent further loss of life and to restore peace in the region.
