At just 22 years old, Dhruvkumar Desai is carving his own path as a student leader, policy advocate, and sustainability champion while carrying forward a legacy of community service. As the son of Jayram Desai, the Swachh Bharat Mission State President for Gujarat and a prominent BJP leader in the Maldhari (OBC) community, Dhruvkumar has grown up witnessing firsthand the power of grassroots activism. However, rather than simply following in his father’s footsteps, he is determined to bring his own vision to the table—one that combines youth leadership, environmental sustainability, and social equity.
Balancing Leadership and Academics
Currently pursuing his studies at Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Dhruvkumar has already made significant strides as a Student Advisor for the Youth Parliament at his institution. In this role, he helps bridge the gap between students and policymakers, ensuring that young voices are heard in critical discussions about governance and national development.
Beyond his academic commitments, he is also deeply involved in sustainable initiatives—particularly in recycling and resource management. His projects focus on creating economic opportunities for OBC communities through waste recycling, advocating for green building practices, and raising awareness about environmentally responsible policies.
